gtcmap

Calculates counts maps for binned likelihood analysis.

This tool computes the counts maps for use in a binned likelihood analysis. The maps are data cubes in latitude, longitude, and log(energy).

  (evtable = EVENTS) [string]
    Event extension name.

  scfile [file]
    Spacecraft data file.

  (sctable = SC_DATA) [string]
    Spacecraft data extension.

  outfile [file]
    Output file name.

  ebinalg <LOG|FILE> [string]
    Energy binning algorithm

  emin = 30 <20-3e5> [double]
    Minimum energy bound of counts map planes (MeV)

  emax = 2e5 <20-3e5> [double]
    Maximum energy bound of counts map planes (MeV).

  nenergies = 21 <2-100> [int]
    Number of logarithmically-spaced energy bounds. This should be one greater than the desired number of energy bands.

  ebinfile = none [file]
    Energy bin definition file.

  coordsys = no [bool]
    Flag to use Galactic coordinates. If this is set to no, then Equatorial (J2000) coordinates will be used.

  ra <0-360> [double]
    Right ascension of map center (J2000 degrees). This is prompted for and used only if coordsys=no.

  dec <-90-90> [double]
    Declination of map center (J2000 degrees). This is prompted for and used only if coordsys=no.

  glon <0-360> [double]
    Galactic longitude of map center (degrees). This is prompted for and used only if coordsys=yes.

  glat <-90-90> [double]
    Galactic latitude of map center (degrees). This is prompted for and used only if coordsys=yes.
