DC2 Data Access

There are currently two primary sources of Glast DC2 data:

  • Goddard Space Center's
    GLAST Science Support Center
    (GSSC):DC2 Data Access

and

GSSC's DC2 Data Access Site:

The GSSC "Astro" server delivers classA and classB events (see Event and Analysis Classes).

From this site, you can access:

  • LAT Photon data
  • All sky data files (in ~1 week chunks)
  • LAT Pointing History and Livetime data
  • Livetime cubes
  • GBM Burst data
  • Source Catalog
  • DC2 Pulsar Ephemeris
  • Galactic Diffuse Emission Model

Note: All of the above are available in FITs format, and the Source Catalog is also available as an XML file or ds9 Region File.

SLAC's DC2 Data Portal

From SLAC's DC2 Data Portal, you can access:

  • Level 1 photon events - Astro Data Server
  • Subsets of data from the merit tuple [see Summary Ntuples (for DC2)] - Pruner
  • Full Root trees for a set of events by run/event number - Peeler
  • Event Display (WIRED)
  • DC2 Animation
  • Ready made data files, including:
    • Root pointing history
    • 20M AllGamma run pruned tuple
    • 1B backgrounds run pruned tuple
