Interactive LAT Source Catalog
The Agenzia Spaziale Italiana - ASI Science Data Centre (ASDC)
has prepared a web page enabling you to interactively browse the LAT
source tables. Most of the features noted below are already
implemented, and work is continuing on the others. The page will be
automatically upgraded as the new features are implemented.
Please use this tool and send comments, suggestions, bugs, etc. to
the ASDC-LAT group (mail to Elisabetta Cavazzuti).
"Comments" column:
This page is also intended to be a collection point for
commentary regarding on-going work on each single source. The group therefore asks that you insert the url to the Confluence page(s) that you use – or which you will create – in the "Comment" column of the page. The Add link enables you to insert a comment with:
- the url of the confluence
page dedicated to the source (see examples ASO0513 and ASO0287),
- comments useful to identify, study the source, etc.
Animated "New" flag. Every time you connect to the page, any new comment (i.e., new since the last time you
connected) will be flagged with an animated flag.
Table features:
- All internal and public releases of the LAT source tables will be available and displayed at the top of the page. You can choose which version to display.
To date, the September ASO and LAT Bright Source Lists are included. All the information contained in the FITS files circulated by the Catalog Group are included for each entry.
Note: The full ASO list (444 entries) will be uploaded soon.
- "Show Available Parameter" for the selection of the columns to be displayed, in order to have a reasonably-sized readable table.
- "Source Name" and "Nickname"
are linked to Confluence's 'search mode'; this link queries Confluence
and it gives you back all the pages containing that word in order to assist you in finding additional information about the source.
- "Associations" column: Click on "Show" to open the table with Associations ordered by probability (as in fits file). Previous Gamma-ray Associations (CosB, 3EG, EGR and 1AGILE catalogs) are displayed in a dedicated column.
- "Class":
Work to fill in this column is continuing. Each catalog release has the Class column filled in by the Catalog Group work. Please use the "Comment" column to add any discrepancy from your understanding.
Note: There is also a "Click here to add a new User Catalog Source" link (located above the main table). This feature is used to add a NEW ROW (i.e. a new source) to trace new LAT sources detected between two Catalog releases and approved by the Catalog Group. These entries will be flagged as USER SOURCE, to better trace them in the following releases.
