Glast ROOT Users Group - Legacy Docs

GRUG was a short-lived attempt at discussing common ROOT features, problems, annoyances, etc. among GLAST users. What follows are links to talks presented at GRUG meetings, provided as a reference for those getting started with ROOT. They include explanations of ROOT features such as TEventList, TMinuit, and fitting, as well as detailed examples of ROOT macros for PDR and background analysis.

Note the date of these presentations. ROOT has since released many new production versions, so some features have changed; however, you will find much of the ROOT code provided still holds true.

Also of interest, and available from the ROOT home page, are the ROOT User Guide, RootTalk Forum, and RootTalk Digest that provide extensive detailed help concerning issues faced by ROOT users worldwide.

In addition, a GLAST ROOT mailing list was created, and that archive is available at:
