Problem: When monitoring the Data Quality, the trigger rate suddenly goes through the roof due to a hot channel.

Problem with physics filter???

Each of the Half-pipe processes (as viewed on the Pipeline Monitor) - Bryson

Example (Jim Panetta - talk to Anders):

A change of on-board filters is reflected in the data stream, and the LdfReader has to be updated.

Gleam has to be connected to the right version of the LdfReader. - Warren

Note: Tracy would like one copy of Gleam that can handle any version of LdfReader.

Need to understand Input (to LdfReader):

L0 compressed code, my audience will need to know where it's read in - Problems almost always arise at system boundaries. So..., with respect to the LdfReader, you need to understand the concept of FastCopy/Half-pipe to see what's been pulled in and whether it's arrived. (How monitor?)

Ldf Converter creates digi (pedestal corrections are applied to L0 data during the unpacking process, and the digi output is complete and in a predetermined, well-understood format that is input to the reconstruction algorithms???what is the format; where do I find it; existing documentation-wise -- see digi trees??? for types of data, then find the actual input file names)

Note: The audience needs to know L0 is custom compressed code (JJ) in LAT Data Format, and that that is in the domain of the FSW experts.

Compression; how L0 data hooks into MOOT and dependencies; on-board filter is determined by the MOOT key and by the secondary boot script, which defines what is actually running onboard the spacecraft.

Note: The pedestals used onboard the spacecraft are somewhat different from those used on the ground in that: ground energy pedestals change more often (Anders & Eric).

Joanne: What kind of "stuff" is in the Geometry Description, and how is it used?

Seth: Simone had to get into the ROOT file Merit data in order to find some anomalies in background rejection.
