RECOMMENDATIONS
 FOR SPEAKER'S PRESENTATIONS


We will support electronic presentations and tranparencies.


There will be 3 projectors available to the speakers:
  • one video-projector
  • two projectors for transparencies

We ask all speakers to inform: Lydia Roos (lroos@in2p3.fr) and Marc Verderi (verderi@in2p3.fr)
of the format used for their talk as soon as possible.

1) Electronic presentations:

For electronic presentations a Windows-XP laptop will centralize the presentations and will be used for the projection. The formats supported are:
  • Powerpoint
  • Postscript
  • Pdf

We require all speakers to provide their presentations at least 24 h before their talks.

The files can be either:
  • sent by email to: Lydia Roos and Marc Verderi
  • provided by the web, which URL is sent to above e-mails
  • provided by an USB key. But given the 24h limit, it will not be possible to provide talks by USB key on the first day.

The 24 hours ahead are required to check for and fix possible problems.
For poscript and pdf files, please remember that the landscape mode is better suited for a video-projection.

2) Transparency presentations:

For transparency presentations, the slides will be scanned during the days following the speaker's talk. We inform the speakers that we foresee a one week period, after the conference closing, to make this scanning and send back by mail the transparencies to their owners.
